Asselin to get spanish passport


Josh Asselin(2.11-C), the american/dominican center of Manresa is ready to receive a spanish passport according to spanish newspaper Regio 7. Asselin has been playing for Manresa the last 2 seasons and has one more year contract with the spanish team.

Manresa renewed the contract of Asselin for 2 more seasons which was understandable for one ACB's top blockers and centers in general. According to tubasket.com his contract is estimated to be 450,000 euros Selling the player would have Manresa out of the deep financial trouble that is currently in. The 30 year old center has been quite popular linked to rumors about interest from Maccabi, Tau and Barcelona. Asselin has also played for Orthez in the ProA and also Caceres and Cantabria in LEB Gold.  He averaged 14 points 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 32 games in the ACB this season with Manresa.
