Khimki BC announced today via their official website, spanish point-guard Raul Lopez(1.82-PG) that was released from Real Madrid. The contract is for 2 seasons and Lopez will find in Khimki, the head coach of the National Team of Spain, Sergio Scariolo.
Lopez was a "victim" of the restructuring that Ettore Messina started in Real Madrid and this will be the first he will play in Europe for a non-spanish team. He has been playing for Real Madrid for the last 3 seasons and before that he spent one season in Girona. The previous 2 seasons he played for the Utah Jazz and before that he was also a player of Real Madrid. This season he averaged 7 points 1.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 32 games in the ACB and also 6.6 points 1.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 16 games in the Euroleague for Real Madrid.
