Panellinios interested in Markoivshvili and Blakney


According to basketblog.gr, Panellinios are interested in georgian shooting guard Manuchar Markoishvili(1.97-SG) and dominican point-guard Roderick Blakney(1.86-PG). Blakney has a bulgarian passport that allows him to play as an EU player.

Markoishvili played for BC Kyiv this past season and he is considered one of the best georgian players. He was initially signed by Benetton and was loaned to Mitteldeutcher BC in Germany and later on played for Olimpia Lubljana. This season he averaged 12.5 points and 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 35 games in the Ukrainian Superleague for BC Kyiv.

Blakney was initially playing in CBA for Sioux Falls and Dakota and then he was scouted by Iraklis and coach Pilafidis in Greece and later on he played for AEK Athens, Maroussi and Olympiakos in Greece. He also played for Dynamo Moscow Region in Russia and this season he played for Turk Telekomm. He averaged 6.7 points 1.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 30 games in the Turkish League.
