Panathinaikos interested in Jerebko


Jonas Jerebko(2.04-SF/PF) seems to be a target of Panathinaikos according to greek portal prasinanea.gr. The assistant coach of Panathinaikos, Dimitris Itoudis, is currently in Las Vegas as part of the Detroit Pistons coaching staff. The article says that Itoudis is going to be watching the swedish prodigy closely and monitor his performance during the Las Vegas Summer League.

Originally an early entry candidate for the 2008 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name from consideration. Jerebko was selected in the 2009 Draft by the Detroit Pistons in the 2nd round with number 39 pick overall. He began his pro career playing with the Swedish League club Borås Basket in the 2005-06 season and in the 2006-07 season he moved to the reigning Swedish champion team Plannja Basket, where he also won a Swedish championship. He then moved to the Italy and Angelico Biella in 2007. As a player of Biella last season he averaged 9.1 points 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 34 games in the LegaA1.
