Maccabi to sign Lasme for 2 seasons


According to israeli portal sport5.co.il, Stephane Lasme(2.03-PF) has agreed to continue his career in Maccabi Tel Aviv for the next 2 seasons. The power forward from Gabon will be moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv from Partizan after a very successful season winning both the Adriatic League and the Serbian League.

Lasme was one of the best defensive player in the NCAA while playing for Massachusetts where he averaged 13.5 points per game 9.5 rebounds and 5.1 blocks per game in his senior year. He was drafted in 2007 by the Golden State Warriors in the 2nd round at number 46. He never actually played for Golden State, then moved on to the LA Defenders in the NBDL and then signed a contract with Miami. He averaged 5.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 16 games in the 2007-2008 season and was later released and became a free agent. As a player of Partizan he averaged 10.6 points 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 19 games in the Euroleague.

has a work ethic better than most watched development for four years from the front row never could get a jump shot and at 6-8 not a nba blocker and too thin for a rough and tumble rebounder. Hope to go the ha'eretz this winter and will stop in and wach and say hi
