Printezis under scrutiny in Malaga

It was hailed as a great transfer but it was just ok..

According to diariosur.es, Giorgos Printezis(2.05-PF) will be under heavy scrutiny by the admnistration of Malaga. Printezis signed a contract for 3 seasons with Malaga and with a yearly salary of over 1 million euros. That means he's got 2 more seasons in his contract and if Malaga want to get rid of him there could possibly be a heavy compensation needed.

One might wonder how come a player like Printezis managed to sign such a lucrative contract. Don't get me wrong.. he is a good player, but objectively speaking his market value is nowhere near that amount. Nevertheless it's up to Malaga now to keep him or try to reach an agreement with him, with a view to break his contract. The article says that there also doubts for next season about Guilleme Rubio and Robert Archibald. Printezis had many ups and downs in his first season in Malaga averaging 11.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 12 games in the Euroleague and 9.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 33 games in the ACB.
