The rumored transfer of Nikos Zisis(1.95-PG/SG) became reality as Siena announced it via their official website. Zisis was initially rumored to continue his career in Olympiakos, alongside his former teammate in CSKA, Theo Papaloukas, but it seems that Siena wanted him more. The deal is for 1+1 seasons and Zisis will be travelling soon to Siena to undergo medical tests and meet his new head coach.
Zisis will be replacing Rimantas Kaukenas(1.94-SG) in Siena and he was convinced when coach Pianingiani called him and expressed his team's interest. Zisis didn't want to accept Olympiakos' offer for a one season contract. He averaged 5.3 points 1.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 21 games in the Euroleague for CSKA.
