Claudio Toti, owner of Virtus Roma, announced in an interview released after the loss in Game 3 of Italian playoffs that Ibby Jaaber asked to leave the club and will not play for Lottomatica next season.
"I expected more from Jaaber in the playoffs. However, he is a young player who has played few playoffs in his career. For sure he will grow as a player but not in Roma. He said he wants to go in NBA in the summer and will not be with us next season" said Claudio Toti.
Jaaber in the season 2009/10 averaged 10.4ppg and 4.4rpg in Euroleague and 12.7ppg and 3.4rpg in Serie A, where he has an impressive start but finished at the end of the rotation of Roma in the last games of the season.
