Rambis spoke about Pekovic, among other things..
Kurt Rambis, who is of Greek descent(aka Kyriakos Rambidis), was present at the Greek league play-off game tonight in Athens. He answered a few questions for NovaSports FM according to superbasket.gr, saying why he was at the game. He is currently in Greece to observe first-hand the progress of Nikola Pekovic, who was drafted in 2008 by Minnesota as the 31st pick. In Minnesota they are convinced that the Montenegrin center is ready to make the leap to the NBA this summer.
Rambis said that he likes the way that Pekovic plays on both ends of the floor and that he has worked hard to get into his current shape. He also said that he is not there just for Pekovic but also for Josh Childress and Linas Kleiza. Any good players are watched by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rambis' visit to Athens fuels even more the rumors that Pekovic will be playing for Minnesota next season.
