Aris want to keep Matt Walsh

Jeremy Richardson may be gone.. but Matt Walsh might stay.

According to basketnet.gr, Matt Walsh(1.99-PG/SG/SF) is one of the main targets of Aris for the next season. Coach David Blatt is currently in Israel for personal matters but he is also scouting for players at the same time. Nevertheless he is very keen on retaining Matt Walsh for the next season too.

Walsh started the season in Olimpija and was later on bought by Aris Thessaloniki. He started well as a player of Aris but later on his performance dwindled down, especially after Jeremy Richardson was injured that threw the whole team off-balance. Blatt seems to be a firm believer in the abilities of Matt Walsh and what could help things is that Walsh's agent is a friend of David Blatt. Walsh averaged 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 10 games in the Greek A1 league for Aris. According to the article, David Blatt is looking at some players of the Israeli League as possible candidates for next season.
