Omar Cook to renew with Malaga

Omar Cook will be staying with Malaga for one more season as he originally signed.

When Omar Cook(1.86-PG) signed his contract with Malaga it was for 2 seasons with the option of another season that can be activated before a specific date according to laopiniondemalaga.es. At the moment Malaga are still in the play-offs so when they are through the official announcement will be made by the team. In Malaga they're quite impressed with Cook's performance especially after the unsuccessful runs of Pooh Jeter and Juan Dixon.

From a prolific scorer Cook has changed his style of play to become one of the best passers in Europe and the ACB as well. Furthermore he holds a Montenegrin passport from his time with in the Adriatic League playing for Red Star Belgrade and he is also a member of the Montenegrin National Team. Cook averaged 9.8 points 1.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 16 games playing for Malaga.
