According to a Chinese TV commentator, Yao Ming(2.29-C) is considering leaving the Houston Rockets after this summer. The Chinese center will join a long glamorous list of free agents this summer and the disagreement between him and Houston seems to be the length of the contract.
Yao Ming wants a secured contract for 6 seasons, whereas Houston is offering him only 4 according to the article from hoopchina.com. If this is true and there is no agreement between them Yao Ming could be playing for a difference NBA franchise. He spent the entire season out due to broken bone in his left foot but he is expected to return for the next season. He is also the most important member of the Chinese National Team.
