Jasikevicius to sit Eurobasket 2009 out

According to krepsinis.net, Sarunas Jasikevicius(1.93-PG) will not be travelling with the rest of the National Team of Lithuania to Poland to take part in the Eurobasket 2009. Head coach Ramunas Butautas said that Jasikevicius wants to rest from a difficult season that to the conquest of the Triple Crown for Panathinaikos, conquering the greek A1 league, the greek Cup and the Euroleague.

Jasikevicius' future with Panathinaikos is yet to be established but it seems that the lithuanian superstar wants to take a breather and allow other players to step up. Jasikevicus averaged 9.6 points 1.5 rebounds and 3 assists in 22 games of the Euroleague this season.
