Trier keep Jamal Shuler

After extending the contracts with James Gillingham (193-G-81, college: Bradley) and Brian Brown (191-G-79, college: Ohio St.), TBB Trier managed to keep another player from last year's roster: The club exercised a team option on 23-year old Jamal Shuler (191-G-86). Consistency seems to be the number one aim for Trier in this off-season. With keeping Shuler the club already has hired 7 players of last seasons roster.

For Shuler, Trier is his first overseas club. After a successful college career with Va Commonwealth (VCU) he joined TBB Trier last season and showed a lot of potential. In 34 games he averaged 9.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He also had 1.2 steals per game and was the 16th best player in this category last season. Shuler's season highs show that he could really become a great player. He scored 29 points against Walter Tigers Tuebingen, had 9 rebounds aginst Duesseldorf Giants and 6 assists against Ratiopharm Ulm.
