Bnei Hasharon keep key players

Bnei Hasharon are renewing some of their key players to maintain good chemistry.


Bnei Hasharon have agreed on terms of contract extension with Ronald Steele (188-G-86, college: Alabama). The 24-year-old guard joined the Israeli team at the start of the previous season. Steele signed his first pro contract. He tallied 11.0 points, 2.5 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game in the Israeli Premier League. Ronald Steele helped Bnei Hasharon reach Israeli Cup Final. 

Bnei Hasharon also kept Shawn James  (208-F/C-83, college: Northeastern). The 26-year-old centre will enter his third straight year with the team. Last season Shawn James tallied 12.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per appearance. He was named the Eurobasket.com All-Israeli Premier League Centre of the Year.

Ben Rice  (196-F-90) and Erez Katz will also remain in the team for the upcoming season. Ben Rice tallied 4.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. The forward played for the Israeli U20 selection at the 2009 European Championship. He notched 6.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in Greece.

Erez Katz  (191-G-80) came up with 4.2 points, 3.6 boards, 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game for Bnei Hasharon in the previous season. It will be his fifth year with the team.
